Spirit of Ecuador liquor was created in San Francisco of Quito, the ecuadorian capital at 1992, inspired by a great idea, creators enthusiastically introduced to the market a product that would make their country proud.

Between 1992 and 1994 Spirit of Ecuador founders took care of all necessary steps to put on the market the new product, as well as the design of their initial presentations. At the beginning they sought a name that describes the “liquor of Ecuador”, a name that wrap everything that founders felt at the creation of a product with such quality and as representative of his country. At not finding an option which has these characteristics they chose to use one literal translation of the phrase “Spirit of Ecuador” where the word Spirit in English means liqueur or
spirituous beverage, there came Spirit of Ecuador, however, at the moment of saying it for the first time they realize that the name had something very special. “Spirit” a word with a lot of meanings, putting it together with “of Ecuador” achieved a word for Cultural Identity, Ecuadorian Magic and National idiosyncrasies.

At 1994 Spirit of Ecuador makes his debut on the national market and begins what undoubtedly would be a slow but sure road toward the approval of Ecuadorian consumer and then of the world.

First productions were subcontracted to existing liquor companies because they didn’t had their own plant. In 1997 Spirit of Ecuador opened its own production plant and at beginning of 1998 they opened a production plant of ceramic bottles to guarantee its quality.

Today, after so much effort and dedication, Spirit of Ecuador has consumer acceptance that has made the best of its kind, since the beginning we have kept faithful to the philosophy of the founders to make a high quality Ecuadorian product, committed to proudly carry the honor of being “The Ecuadorian liqueur”
